I just need the bare circuit boards, so I can install my own components.

Anyone know where I can get them?

Thanks.....

I think the best solution is to make then yourself!
(Or let somebody else make them for you. How many PCB's do you need?)

I only want a few maybe.  I've been an RF engineer for nearly 20 years, but
all that time, I've had other people make the boards for me.

Perhaps it's time to do my own boards, you may be right.  I seem to remember
having a copy of Accell, but I'm sure there are better programs out there these
days.  What would you recommend for layout of boards?

And I'll need to find a small batch board house......

Other option would be to buy a desoldering gun and unpopulate the boards that come with the mics.

In small quantities you'll be paying quite a bit for the boards.

Yes, it's crazy.  The MCA SP-1 is about $45 these days.

Making up your own boards, and then buying your own parts, and making your own
mic body, would certainly be more than that.

Unbelievable how cheap China's labor is these days.....

I'm thinking of just buying another SP-1, modifying the circuit
only, and keeping the original capsule.  It's a bit bright, but
quite usable I think, and very clean.

I am planning to produce a batch of PCBs for the SP-1/V63M microphones.
Both the audio and the DC converter boards.
As you may know, the new microphones use SMD components, making modifications much more difficult.
With the unpopulated boards, you can use the (throughhole) components of the quality that you like.
Boards are high quality FR4 epoxy, drilled and covered with a layer of solder flux.
Price will be in the order of 10 Euro for a set.
Would there be any interest in this?

Actually, I was going to make a post about this.

Yes there would be interest .. And I'd be interested in quite a few of these.

$10 Euro is reasonable. Thanks  Ruud

Cheers
