I'm wanting to buy a pair of 19" rack enclosures, 1U high, and approximately 130 -150mm or 5 - 6" in depth.  Any deeper will cause clearance problems in this application.  Blank, no vents or other cutouts, sturdy, steel or aluminium.

There's very few options (none, to be exact) to be found locally here in Perth Australia.  This being the case, my usual go-to is Ebay, but i'm not finding exactly what i'm after there either.  I've Googled, of course - many results, but none seem to quite fit the bill.

I'm hoping the knowledgeable heads of GroupDIY can throw me a bone.  Where can you suggest I try?

The Redco 6" 1U rack enclosure is nice:

If someone needs them, I have svg, dxf and sketchup files for a blank panel with the 8 holes in front and 4 oblong mounting holes for these Redco enclosures and the holes line up perfectly.

Here is one of my builds that uses the 6" enclosure:

Unfortunately they are in Connecticut USA so shipping will be tough.

https://www.schaeffer-ag.de/en/ has side panels for 1 and 2 U which they cut to order. They are actually affordable if I remember right. I haven't used them yet, but they look good to me.

A while ago, when i was looking for rack cases, i came across this Turkish company, they seem to have pretty good prices too:

They seem to do a 146mm-deep 1RU: http://www.altinkaya.eu/19-rack-enclosures/185-rm-110-14.html

I always use Par-Metal rack cases but they start at 8".  They do offer a create-a-size series that might work: http://par-metal.com/create-a-size.php

I hate leaving negative reviews - their metalwork is great but their service has not always left me smiling

Do you have just the drill hole dimensions for this enclosure?

Thanks!

You mean the 8 holes that need to be in the front panel? Yes, they're 5.1" apart horizontally and 1.376" vertically and then that 4x2 grid of holes are centered horizontally and vertically. The tabs that the panel screws into that protrude down / up from the edges are 0.313x0.212 with 4-40 tapped holes. Clearance inside is 1.55".

Redco 1U rack enclosure panel tab dimensions:

Note that this drawing is a blank panel (silver) with the mounting tabs and a small bit of the top and bottom edges (black).

I think this information alone should be enough to check clearance for a panel but I use Sketchup to check clearance around the tabs because I place components within a few millimeters in some cases. Mocking up with Sketchup is critical. That's always my first step first to visualize the concept and then to check clearances.

I just noticed Redco now as a 2U enclosure available in 3", 6", 8" and 10" depths:

Same style as the 1U so the front and rear panels do not have special flanges or anything that would exclude using a panel from FPE, cam-expert.com, etc.

Really?  I've bought dozens and never had a problem.

I’ve bought a lot of enclosures from them. I tried to get ahold of them last month. Called every day for two weeks and sporadically for the rest of the month. No answer.  I also sent a bunch of emails. No response.

I don't know what to tell you, Paul.  I have ordered twice from them in the last month with no problems.  I fill out the form online, get a paypal invoice, pay it, and have my cases the next day.

I need to order pieces as well as full cases.  You can’t order pieces online. I’m not asking for anything custom. Just things like rear or side panels in the standard dimensions.  I’ve ordered tons of pieces  in the past. If they no longer want to sell them they could at least tell me.
