Service Manual for White 4700. A GREAT EQ if you just upgrade the ICs to LM4562s/LM79840s.

white 4700/4700-2  reset

White Instruments Model 4700
Factory Reset
* 1. * Note the firmware version number by observing it on the display immediately after turning the unit on.
* 2. Turn OFF power and disconnect the unit from the AC outlet.
* 3. Remove the top cover.
* 4. Locate the Controller Board attached to the side near the transformer.
* 5. Temporarily remove one of the two-pin jumper blocks from one of the filter boards and place it on the empty two-pin header just behind the large controller IO on the Controller Board.
* 6. Ensure that the front panel power switch is OFF.
* 7. Reconnect the power cord to the AC line. BE CARE FUL NOT TO TOUCH THE CONTROLLER BOARD WITH THE POWER CONNECTED SINCE LINE VOLTAGE IS EXPOSED THERE!
* 8. If you wish only to disable the security feature, continue with this step. Otherwise go to step 9. Continuing with this step will remove the security feature and leave all equalization settings intact. After performing this step, the security feature can only be reinstalled by completely reinitializing the unit as in step 9. To continue with this step: while holding down the Enter key, turn ON power to the unit and wait about 5 seconds. Go to step 10.
* 9. This step will cause the loss of all stored equalization settings as well as any security codes. If you wish to keep them, unlock the unit using the procedure in step 8 and then write the settings down on paper. To completely reinitialize the unit: while simultaneously holding down the either A) the Menu, Function and Enter keys for firmware versions prior to 2.11, or B) the Right Cursor, Functions and Enter keys for firmware versions 2.11 and later, turn ON power to the unit for about 5 seconds.
*10. Turn OFF the front panel power switch and disconnect the power cord from the AC line.
*11. Remove the two-pin jumper block from J1 and return it to its original location.
*12. Replace the top cover.
