I was up in the city ,having a pint after a long day,
I ran into Johhny boy ,
I know his face from around alright , as he did mine ,
He was showing off one of these turntable mats his small enterprise makes locally ,

Anyway it turns out I've needed just this very type mat to compensate for a non standard tonearm arrangement ,a Technics arm on a Garrard 401 on a plinth of my own making .
By the time Id got to see the quality close up I didnt want to let go of it ,
He ended up giving it to me on good will , next time I pay him the cash and buy him a pint ,

I havent finished smelling the leather on this thing yet .

At least the marketing isnt over the top with totally outlandish unfathomable claims ,
I havent had a chance to see how it sounds yet as my phono pre amp shot its final bolt some time back .
Definately looks and feels like it damps the disc better than jelly rubber .

The guy was telling me he's also designs and constructs his own turntables , most likely thats what you see in the pics on the website .
