Wunder Audio PEQ 1- lunchbox

I have a single Wunder Audio PEQ1 that my friend would like packaged into a lunchbox style enclosure. There is a connection for an external fader...the user guide shows "external fader input" and "external fader output". I think I read somewhere that the fader is 5kohms. Does this mean the connection is to a 5k variable resistor ie 0-5k linear?

Answering my own question. I looked at the Neve 1073 user manual. The connections to the fader are :
5k potentiometer connected between "external fader input" pin K and 0v. The wiper of the fader pot is connected to "external fader output" pin L.
