Hello, has anybody designed a convincing xy capsule holder, may be to print?

Attached are some examples, from Cinela to Esfera by Sennheiser…

Thanks a lot for clues!

Well, two of those are microphone mounts, not capsule holders . . .

And, the middle one is a pretty crap design, putting the capsules in each other's 'line of fire', so to speak. Putting them in that mount the other way 'round, so they point out away from each other would be similar to the excellent (old) Audio Technica AT825; the bit of 'air' between the capsules sounds much better than pure coincidence, and is still fully mono-compatible for all practical purposes (despite what coincident 'purists' will tell you).

Well actually I need them to be fully coincidentally designed. And the schown mics are -indeed- all Sennheiser mkh8000ish, fully preamplified, they are not solely capsules. Just from the form factor, they are more capsule alike than „full body“ microphones.
By the way the “middle one” design is quite good, just the picture is not properly taken. It is a matter of perspective. With the capsules mounted, it is like any other xy arrangement. Nothing “in the line of fire “.

Well…if i may… actually I still would appreciate different designs, than the pictured ones. DIY would be awesome🌈
Cheers

Well, 'different' in what way?

What are you after? So far too vague for you to get any useful recommendations.

By the way, I don't know the source of the photos, but none shows a proper XY configuration; true coincidence only occurs when the capsules are vertcally aligned through the centers of their diaphragms. In photos 1 and 3 the mics are vertically aligned considerably behind the capsules' diaphragms.

Take a look a this:

A clip for the mics with a threaded hole beneath. Simple&effective. You'd just need to run a tap in the threads to get the right fit.

It's ORTF but you can get the idea. Modifying it for 90 deg. X/Y shouldn't be a problem.
You can drop them an email and ask.
They're willing to do requested changes.
I actually found this and the ball wind protection on thingiverse and asked for adjustments (mic diameter). They changed the diameter and I had it in my hands within a week or so.

Postage from Poland shouldn't kill you 😉
