Hi there!

Newbie here (first post).

I've been offered a Yamaha M-1532 for a reasonable price (1 000$) in good shape. I would buy it to replace my Soundtracs Topaz wich I quite like. Actually, I'd love to get a PM-2000 but they seem really hard to come by. I'd like to use 8 of the M-1532 pres and the 24 remaining as my mixing/summing desk. I did read A LOT on those desks and appart of the limiting of the routing, wich I guess I can overcome, it's the line in/ summing section that is apparently "cloudy and mushy" from what I read. Is there anyone here who has come to THE magic recipe to make the board sound better in the summing section?

I did read this thread here: http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=29725.0  but it seems like it is hard to get through some Sphere SPA-60...

Thanks for any input!

Guillaume
