Latest Opinions On Currently-Available M7s?

I have a Thiersch M7 redline in a Matador ELAM 251E and an AA flat K47 in a C12. They sound great.

That's cool...I'm in a D251 build without a C12 capsule, but I do have a Flat K47. How could I connect it? Front Capsule, Front Body, cardioid only?

Flat K47 only has 3 wires, the C12 capsule wiring only needs 3 wires.

I'll never comprehend how and why the 251 uses so overly convoluted pattern switching, considering it's (also) a 120v tube circuit.

251 is a microphone (which has that capacitor i mentioned). CK12 is a microphone capsule.

Plate to ground Cap. Looking at the schematic, trying to make sense. C2? C3?

From the tube plate directly to ground, there's only one in the 251 schematic. Might be 100pF, don't recall the value off the top of my head.

I think it's the cathode bypass cap, C3 in Dany's schematic. I'll bring it over to that thread. Thanks Khron. You've given me hope. D12 gets the Flat 47.
