The stock parts in the picture look fine for a 012

Why is the PNP being changed?

Did you measure your transistor voltages (six voltage measurements to ground)before changing the FET and other parts?
Are they close to the same as the changed parts microphone?

Have you searched this forum for 012 threads

A thread at this forum discussed this circuit in some depth

Changing the PNP follower ?
What is changing the JFET  about?

Looking at what is used in the newer build maybe I would change C6 and C7

I have changed parts in some 012s and sometimes the stock parts sound the "best"

The voltage readings would help you to understand what changes

E and C reversed?  Why lower hFE for a follower?
a search for "transistor reverse e and c"

Hey Mark, it seems you're a bit alone here. That's a shame because IMO samples should be promoted.
That said, I have a little difficulty with this one. Seems like the different takes do not have the mic in the same position relative to the guitar or strings. Or is it me?

Now that's an even bigger shame.  :(

I'm very, very busy moving to another house, so I can't be here as often and long as I wish. But I shure had hoped Mark would get more response to his mods and samples.
