Hello everyone.

Have taken some pics of my schematics of a Cadac G320-G input module from a small, 12 channel console i am trying to refurbish.
I was posting these for Joe at JML to make him help me with a power supply for the console.

Thought i was going to post them here for everyone else to see as well!!
They might be interesting.

Are quite large pictures, do not have a scanner, must get one!

Have the same transformers as the same era Neves, and use a gyrator type eq.
Will be interesting to get them up and running.

hey denis-

if you ever get time, can you post a photo of the board? I used to work on this old cadac that sounded just aweosme, totally saturated sounding thing, however I have no idea what it was, just vaguely remember what it looked like, grey with anodized knobs, inline. Really nice sounding board, would love to know if that matches up with the drawings you posted.

cool looking studio btw!

As usual when it come to the 1970`s Cadac consoles, a clever discrete design that also sounds very good.

Dennis, thanks for the schematics.

BTW, for many years ago, I have maintenance a bigger Cadac console here in Gothenburg, that have similar amp design.

Bo, do you know if the console is still in Gothenburg??
Would love to go there and have a look if it still is!!

Will be back in a day or two!

Dennis,

The console have change owners some times the last years, but I know the first owner in Gothenburg, so call me on 070-6665966, maybe I have some usable information for you.

Hi ,

I bought this two vintage cadac desks that I wanna recap and put together to one Console.

http://www.fabian-mallmann.de/Cadac.htm

Since there is little information on the net , I thought we could share some information. I still need some some parts ( edge connectors / potentiometer / transistors etc... I will replace the caps with BC AML 138 / Nichicon PW series because the original ones are all leaking. Unfortunately I'm not shure if I can just strap the bus bars together and get away with one console. Do you think the G.414 Mixamps can handle this ? They got the C347 circuit.

Thanks a lot !!

Another Cadac
A 88 from the early 1970s
I recorded an album on this once (a long time ago)

My first experience of being in a Studio and it was 10 years til I got into this DIY thing
I look on it as time wasted - i have got back in touch with the owner - but he just blanks me..
groan

The sound of the album - brilliant
24 track 2inch tape - guitar sounds huge even though it was a Strat through a Marshall Valvestate

Hello Keeno, and you others.

Of course i will help you the best i can!!
My desk is still not up and running, still need to build a small frame for it which will not be easy.
Found a studio in LA that has the same desk as I, but complete.
Is trying to get some info from them, but its going slow.

Have finally scanned most of the schematics i got from Cadac.
But i think i will need to assk them first before i post them, but email me for a link where to get them, they are very big though!

Regards,
Dennis
