Hi!
Sorry for the noob question.. But every time I buy bridge rectifiers (or diodes) I wonder the same.

I'm currently building a +/- 28V power supply. When I choose my rectifier I can choose between 70V, 280V and 560V rectifier. And I always wonder if there's a disadvantage of buying the 560V version. It's of course super over specced. But the price/size is the same. Is there a reason to keep the voltage rating lower at all? The voltage drop is the same for all of them (according to datasheet)...

Thanks

i always use higher current and voltage than is needed. on every power supply no point in sailing close to the wind
