On 28 december 2009 I bought a set of GSSL PCB’s from Gustav to start with my first DIY project and today I can finally say that I’ve completed building and calibrating it!
A big thanks to:
Gyraf for the project
Gustav for the GSSL and SSC PCB’s
Expat Audio for the Turbo and VU boards
Mnats for the PSU PCB
Hairball Audio for the meter
Collective Cases for the case
Frank from NRG for making the frontpanel
skot_e for the inspiration for the frontpanel and sharing his .fpd file
The GroupDIY community and this great forum
It has a VU/GR meter, turbo Mode, Gssl mode with SSC filter and Mnats PSU to keep it all stable and free of hum and buzz.
I’ll be using it in live sound so I’ve made every in- and output on XLR. Added the LED’s for +/-15V on the back to be able to quick-check the PSU in case of malfunction.
I’ve learned a LOT while building it and reading the forum and am know going to finish up some other projects I’ve collected over these couple of years!
