Howdy again. Not sure why that other thread isn't displaying anything. Probably because i tried to upload a HUUUUUUGE picture of his schematic. so, i'm reposting.
I have a pair of these compressors designed by igor. It uses 10K Log input and output pots. I'd like to replace them with stepped gain switches like this:

Steiger handily sells this little guy for just such an application. before i get to the question of which resistor values to use to simulate a 10K Log, i have another question. Jeff also has a 25K Stepped Attenuator kit which simulates a 25K Log pot.
What would be the difference with using a 25K Log pot vs the default 10K Log pot? If a 25K log pot isn't going to make that much of a difference compared to a 10K...
