It is an internal switch with two sectionsDoes anyone know what this thing is? Looks like a built in pad and HPF, but no mention of it anywhere on the manual.
Mine has both of the switches in the "OFF" position.
The otherside says "PREATT" which I am assuming means Pre Attenuation....a PAD perhaps? It is an internal switch with two sections
The one visible in picture (2) is a hi-pass
(now it's set to FLAT, so it doesn't cut the bass)
Post pictures from the other sides as well, let's see what the other one is doing
Put some pictures from below and from the other side, from other anglesThe otherside says "PREATT" which I am assuming means Pre Attenuation....a PAD perhaps?
I never knew the TLM103 had a HPF or a PAD. I don't think anyone else knows this either. Because it's so hidden inside and theres no mention of this in the manual or the "getting started" pamphlet.
Yep, I think PRE-ATTenuation = PAD is right. The otherside says "PREATT" which I am assuming means Pre Attenuation....a PAD perhaps?
You are right, the graphic symbol stands for high pass and Hz means Hertz, the SI unit for frequency. The one visible in picture (2) is a hi-pass
(now it's set to FLAT, so it doesn't cut the bass)
Yes, it's a sensitivity attenuation Pad, but I want to see how it does it, by lowering the capsule's polarization voltage or with a capacitor in parallel on the capsuleThe otherside says "PREATT" which I am assuming means Pre Attenuation....a PAD perhaps?

I have no idea, I've had it for a long time, it says on it that it was drawn by TitoWhere's that schematic from?
It's nice that he still had time to draw schematics alongside his partisan activities. Thank you Tito!I have no idea, I've had it for a long time, it says on it that it was drawn by Tito
Wait!
I found another one, it is similar but drawn differently. Only the audio part and no switches or dc/dc converter
Did Iosip Broz Tito invent TLM103?It's nice that he still had time to draw schematics alongside his partisan activities. Thank you Tito!
Alternative history in another realityDid Iosip Broz Tito invent TLM103?
The first It's the old model(1997) that won many awards in 1998. I bought it in 1999. I don't know if the new model still has those internal switches.First one was drawn more intuitively / conventionally, but this has more part values.
You are rightTo be honest, I don't think a PAD and rumble filter that nobody knows about (and can only be reached with a screwdriver) are particularly user-friendly.
I do the same
Really? I don't install either in my mics.I do the same
