Hi,

I've been reading around over the past few days and noticed that it is possible to upgrade the NE5534 opamps in the Presonus Eureka.

The most popular choices seem to be the OPA 627 BP and Linear Tech LT1357. Another opamp that has been used is the Analog Devices AD 797.

According to the specs for these opamps they all appear to be noisier than the stock NE5534 but speaking to Chad Kelly from Presonus he said that the LT1357 is definitely quieter and the OPA 627 is the same!?

One thing I noticed is that all these chips have been around for quite a few years and I'm wondering is there is any newer chips that improve on the performance of these classics?

Another opamp that I've been recommended is the OPA 1611 which on paper is the quietest of them all!

Is there a chip that enhances the sound like the OPA 627BP but is quieter?

Also, is there a really clean sounding chip like the LT1357 that is even quieter?
