I accidently touched two cap leads while working on my guitar amp, with my multimeter which produced smoke. It was maybe 1 -3 seconds. I inspected the cap, and there is no sign of damage. Since there was smoke, does this mean that the cap is bad?
The reason I ask, is that the amp seems to be working fine. I am wondering if the smoke was even coming from the cap, but the only other place that the smoke could have been coming from in this particular area is the solder, which is unlikely since solder has a higher melting point. Any ideas?
