I could DIY something similar pretty easily, if y'all are into that kinda thing

i re-read the PR... it's a plastic front panel with some knobs and switches. and that's it. no pcb, no nothing.
I thoguht for a while that it was going to do a midi-controller at minimum...

Yea, on second glance, it seems like the bracket/proto PCB that Empirical Labs makes is a better value.

Have you guys noticed the 500 series of the bus compressor has got an added sidechain HP filter ?
Also funny that it's a series G- SSL buscompressor.
