I'm working on the Royer SDC tube mic circuit with MXL 993's as my donor mics. I've decided to omit the output transformer for the sake of keeping the cost down. According to the article, the mics will still work properly if you're feeding 10k ohm unbalanced line inputs, which is what I plan on doing. The issue is that the output signal will be out of phase since the output transformer flips the phase. Can anyone point me to a simple 180 degree phase inverting circuit that I can put in place of the transformer? I haven't been able to find anything about anyone building this circuit without the transformer.
Thanks in advance!
