UA175 / drip 175

I'm looking at compressors such as the FMR and VLA but for a bit more cost could finish one or two Drip 175 V2, (just) started around 10yrs ago.. I've found the BOM and other paperwork via another thread, but as it's essentially a UA175 sort of copy I wondered if there are any alternative transformer options worth considering besides the BOM sowter and UTC models?
I see there's also the Sowter 1285 which seems appealing.

Is there a more suitable power transformer than the Drip recommended big Hammond?
