Hey Everyone,

Building up my collection of tools and whatnot that I'll need to do the DIY thing right and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a relatively cheap signal generator I could use to callibrate things like the LEDs on the Green Pre or whatever. We use the Loftech TS-1 at school, it's great and easy to use but I can't find them for under $400 online. Any suggestions are more than welcome or if you've got one you want to get rid of that'll work for cheap I'd love to take it off your hands. Thanks! Peace.

I got one of these new for about $50:

The only thing is, when I'm trying to work with transformers (ie. low impedance loads) the generator gets loaded down and I can't get much voltage onto my load since the generator has a 600 Ohm source impedance.

Any suggestions? Or maybe I'm going about this the wrong way...

See some info in the net about this chip from maxim: MAX038
