I don't know where one can buy the SAD 512 now though.

Since Electro Harmonix still makes the Electric Mistress they must be available or do they use a new circuit today?

Since I use to repair organs I still have a few left!
 
Looks like a Don & Tony Larking Special... The Bel Flanger, perchance?

-I wonder if you couldn't double-clock an SAD1024 and make it work that way? ..of course, you'd still have to find an SAD1024... Reticon, I think.

Roland may still have some of those BBD's, I know Roland Australia has an amazing stock of old parts.

BTW I repaired an ARP Quadra yesterday, it has an awesome phaser built in, I can post the schematic if anyone is interested.

I've made a clone of this some years ago, replacing the expensive dual FET with an instrumentation amp built from BiFet opamps.
