In the thread I started on Walt Jung's first installment on current sources in audioXpress, I mentioned some possible problems with the preamp described in another article of Dennis Colin's (see here the off-thread-topic stuff about it: http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=21796&start=15).
I wrote a letter to aX and it evoked a gracious response from Colin, which will be published with the letter. aX sent it to me today at Colin's request. It should appear fairly soon, and includes comments by Colin of additional interest. But without scooping aX too much, the correct resistor value for R8, the feedback around the AD797, is now 51.1k, which makes sense.
