this should be an easy one (although there is no measurment techniques meta maybe there should be!!)

Im trying to measure the dynamic range after i mod my art DI/O. i have logic studio can i do this with logic or sountracks? not sure about db a wieghted and other terms.

anyone have a technique that is close to how the mfg measure this?

thanks

To measure dynamic range you need to measure peak undistorted output. This can be accomplished with general test equipment. Then your need to measure the noise floor. This is more difficult with general purpose equipment as you need to accurately characterize the bandwidth the noise is measured in, an test unit should be at least 10dB lower that device being measured.
