my friend has a TL audio fat track... and i have spent some time playing with it....
used its main channel for line inputs, with flat EQ
it was unbelievable....  not the sound quality  ;D
but it has a very noticeable wider stereo image on A/B test against hard bypass....
i have never noticed such wider stereo image on any other equipment so far...
also, bottom end sounded much deeper, and fuller, but its wasnt natural.... it was way too much...
do you people think they purposely added wider stereo image somehow.... or would it be their tube design ?
i must tell you its pretty much like my SPL vitalizer.... pretty impressive...
any comments ....

Havent tested one, it doesnt say anything in specsheets..maybe its just the unlinearity between two channels etc? :)
looks like schemas are in gmail, maybe you could check it from there?

I tried one a while ago, same effect but I didn't like it, it sounded like a cheap stereo
with the "sub bass" button pressed in and the middle scooped out ... and that was flat !!

not good.
