Hi guys,
i searched for hours thru the GSSL help thread
i have abused the SEARCH function,
but couldn't find again the thread i need,
i am building a GSSL with TURBO board ,switchable,
and super sidechain board,
i have EAO switches , 1NC,1NO
and i canno't the precise answer on how to hook up the SSC board,
i saved 2 drawings from a previous long search session but don't remember wich one is correct
here is the first draw:

Hi pacemaker,

The second graphic in this thread was mine and its wrong.  I posted it to see if I had it correct  and found out I did not, so please don't connect like that.  Sory for the confusion ::)

stitch-o  has the real deal  ;)

thanks for your reply stich-o and audiophreak
i saw your post while searching yesterday.
but, as i wrote earlier,
i am stuck ,for now, with EAO switches 1NC/NO,
so i am looking for a solution with a SPDT switch,
otherwise this drawing seems the exact solution :

aahhhhh, so "EAO switches , 1NC,1NO" is SPDT switch.
I didn't know that.

I've meditated for a bit, digesting "TheHOLGER ssc-turbo switchable GSSL wiring schema™" and drawing my own diagram.
You really need a DPDT switch.
As always, I could be wrong...

I'd never expected that any compressor sidechain wiring would be named after me  ;D

Hope it works for you guys. I enjoy my compressor(s) very much.

I edited my original post to give you adequate credits.
Worked aces for me, thanks again, Holger!

hi !
i only need the turbo to work when the sidechain is on the "off" position,
do you think the first wiring will ge me satisfaction
and making awkward thing in the other positions,
or do you think it will be always awkward ?

The problem with your diagram is you are trying to completely omit the 2 X 47kΩ.
The Turbo and GSSL circuits require these for the "s.c. input".

Also, I don't see where you propose the 'switch' will happen in your diagram.  ???

I am aware of the DPDT solution,
my elma 01 series switch reference seems to be obsolete,
and i canno't find some DPDT that will match my power on switch and turbo on switch,
i allready bought the SSC board because my ELMA's 1NC/1NO coudln't work
for the bypass switch,
so if installing the SSC board permit me to use my elma's,
but force me to use DPDT switch for turbo,
i have lost time and only moved the problem to another location....
don't know if it's possible,
but supposing the SSC board is replacing the 2 47K,
maybe when the sidechain switch is on the off position,
it replaces the 2 47k as it was before right ?
maybe it can wire one 47k in series with the turbo on switch
or maybe a relay can replace a DPDT switch ?

might do teh trick for you. We also have daughter cards for relays as well on the same site.

let me know if we can be of assistance.

Hi rochey,
thanks for coming up to the recue
this can be solve my problem,
but it will cost the same as buying another SSC board no ?
isn't there a solution with the parts i allready have ?
can't the turbo work normally when the SSC board is on the off position ?
barclaylondon, are you here maybe you have an answer ?

hello pacemaker this thread could help you, there is diferents way with turbo and ssc but some are wrong in fatc the last on this subject is good..
http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=35450.msg446779#msg446779

you can also have just one ssc but will work only in gyraf mode on one dpdt switch like that

Ok,
i have searched and searched again
i have found this diagram on another thread,
with a simple relay, does this seems ok to you guys ?

That is the original "TheHOLGER ssc-turbo switchable GSSL wiring schema™"
You are going in circles and being fairly dismissive to multiple
people who gave you a working answer on a silver platter.

Go make a SPDT work and then come back and TELL US how to do it.  :D

Cheers!

ok sorry to bother you,
but maybe there are other dumb people like me who are trying to understand
and learn from this forum.

i am just looking for a solution with wiring
or with relay to finish my GSSL ,
without buying :
-a second sidechain ( it seems that it's overkill to have sidechain and turbo mode, i just need TURBO or Sidechain)
-a  EAO DPDT switch ( hard to find and very expensive)
-or an Expat Audio switch board ( lloks like realys and 1NC/1NO switch )
the relay solution from Holger seems the simplest for me
if i understand this diagram correctly,
with a EAO 1NC/1NO switch controlling a relay,
i can obtain a DPDT switch right ?

i will test wiring and see if it "TURBO on" work with the SSC on the "OFF" position,
if i find something working i will report there,
but i'm pretty sure that other GSSL builder will find nice to have all the solutions
found in ONE thread ,
don't you think ?

There is no bother.
I am very happy to help.  :)
But it seems multiple helps have been
made and they just don't suit what you want to do.  ???

And what you want to do is this: (so I get this right)
Wire both a Turbo and SSC switchable with ONLY a SPDT switch.

if your SPDT switch can control the power of a stereo relay,
you might have YOUR answer...That was the original Holger idea.
Now, with that, can you make it work?
BUT you still need to buy 5$ relay.

DPDT mini-toggle switch is 2 bucks round these parts.
Cheapest and easiest way to make it happen.
Which takes you back to my (HOLGERS) original diagram.

If you want to go and compile all the SSC information and make a Meta, that's GREAT!
A welcome comrade. I find everyone here shoulders something to make the whole thing work.

good luck!

*signing off*

Hi Stich-O?
you have understand correctly what i need,
Wire both a Turbo and SSC switchable with ONLY a SPDT switch.
the problem came with Persuha cases,
GSSl white turbo etc...
http://purusha.smokinggunrecording.com/diy/G-SSL1.jpg

the cuts for BYPASS, TURBO and POWER were made for
16mm EAO style switch, not the CK7101 switches,
i had these EAO in a trade so i paid quite nothing for them,
and like their design .
So i don't konw how to make it work with a relay,
but if it's possible, i will search and find how to do it..
As i wrote earlier, i just like to learn and understand ,
not the others to do the job for me
but as i'm a totally newbie and don't understand electronics,
as i am french and don't have a perfect english
i always have to read twice the threads to understand.
I have collected a few answers from different threads,
but , as for the Holger drawing, i alsways try to give credits to the person who bring or explain the solution.
Now i have to understand how relays work...
