I'm using mini disk for drum and bass tracks when i go out playing with my duo, its become a bit of a pain to keep bringing the minidisk in and wiring it to my daw. "American Audio" now make a rack mp3 player that accepts sd memory cards, so it should be as easy as dragging the tracks on to the memory card in my daw and just plug it into the mp3 player.....
If i use a high bit rate on the mp3's will i notice a big drop in audio quality between the minidisk and mp3 player?
Thanks

Dunno the price of the gear you mentionned, but what about a Zoom type recorder?
Has SD, and it's easy as dragging the file in the correct folder to have it in the unit.
Plus you'll have a good bang for the buck Stereo Mic recorder.
And the newer modules even allow, both mic and line recording, nice add.

Higher bit rate has less audible artefacts, but never compared to Minidisk, but you'll hear a difference i guess.
