I'd like to start a list of modules that lists the current draw  requirements,  for example
preamps module X  - 20.3 milliamps  [ when used with opamp Y ] 24v only
EQ Z ,  15. ma fixed i.c. , 16v
just to make a quick reference for anyone , also I would like to keep the info to one line for easy comparisons
not meant to check full specs , so if you make a module and know how much current it draws , please post here
Also what catagory best for this ?
 
Some of the info will be somewhat conditional as in

Jensen 990 opamp - supply current draw  25mA unloaded,  typical loads ?

APP2050E is around 22 mA at 16V and around 25 mA at 24V

APP2055  is around 23 mA at 16V and around 26 mA at 24V

VP26 mic preamp draws from between 23.3mA to 28.1mA on each of the 16V rails with a gar2520

JENSAMP-51X: +24V = 70mA / -24V = 0-20mA
(-24V is LEDs and Relays only)

PMV7X: +24V = 20-45mA / -24V = 0-20mA
measured with OA20 DOA, others may be different
(-24V is LEDs and Relays only)

OV560: +16V = 110-130mA / -16V = 26-34mA
measured with OH100 DOA, others may be different

maximum current draw is always max. output level (1% THD) into a 600R load
 
Hmm thought some might find it useful and others step up with info
if one is trying to power two racks with a single supply

Gar ? Jeff ? silent arts ?  Pier ?

You will never find an answer for modules with multiple DOA options.

However, you will need to take in account:
- inrush current at powering up
- mA while driving different loads (down to 600R I would suggest) at 1% THD
- mA @ IDLE

etc etc

welcome in the hell of modular specifications ...

I'm very bussy at work this week, once I find the time I will give you all power specs for the Jensamp-51X and OV560
 
thanks , it may just be safer [ and easier ]  to go with wide margins, but

it's also an exercise in seeing how many 16v modules  -may- be able to run
at a time , we may also come up with a general average, but

If people were whining to add up the current , then ya gotta find it some place, so
