TUBE ECC88 Question

A local guy said he had a tube called 1287. He said it was the same as the ECC88, however I cannot find any info on this to be true.

Anyone know or heard of this tube before?

are you sure he didn't say "12AT7"? (It does sound the same on the phone.) The 12AT7 is not the same as an ecc88.

Thanks guys, I bet he did say 12AT7 .

Not the same but close. I'll keep looking for the proper tube then.
I wanted to find it locally, but I'll probably end upp ording it.
