I wanted to build something like this.

By mesmer. All except the phase meter. I kind of got it in my head right now and need some help with the parts

is this OK route

volume control = http://www.goldpt.com/diy.html (is this my best bet?)
VU meters = AL20 & AL20SQ http://www.sifam.com/vuppm.lasso
Are there any comparable VU's that have the same retro look?
I/O would probablly be Nuetrik. What would you reccomend for the selector switches? And last but not least should I use sheilded wire (and what manufacture?) I noticed on the gold point boxes it doesnt appear to be sheilded wire.
TIA
Joe

Very nice Peter. It is only a passive six way volume controller/input selector, or there is more inside the box?

I looked better to the picture and I think those six circular things are some tubes like the modulation meters in old radios?

Hey Mesmer.

Looks great!! :thumb: what did that end up costing you at the end of the day?

any parts list.

i have a friend that would quite probably explode (with delight) if i told him about the possibility of a DIY surround controller.

Hey Jakob, that mastering console looks very good. Very good idea the EQ and compressor selector.
I hope mine will be ready in two or three month. It will have calibrated monitor control with the Bob Katz K system.
