Desktop reflow oven

This smalll desktop reflow oven looks very interesting. Requires some mods before real use: Replacing the masking tape that holds wires in place with kapton tape, and firmware upgrades to support a better temperature sensor and to basically work better. Improvements here.

Maybe I'll spring for this.

There's lots of discussion, reviews and experiences with these ovens over at the EEVBlog forum. There's some particularly good info from posters that I know have the relevant experience.

With a name like "happybuy" they may play a little fast and loose with agency approval. When you contact the company about their warranty you can ask about approvals.

The last (cheap) chinese hot air station I bought is not UL listed.

PS: A GFCI outlet could be a good idea for non UL chinese engineered appliances.
