« on: July 08, 2020, 05:29:37 AM »
Hi

Can anyone point me to the best way to attenuate signal in and/or out of Altec 9470?  I've gotten it powered and signal going in and out nicely, just not sure of best pads/attenuator scheme for it

thank in advance

20 db front end pad, 600 T or 1k pot on output.

Whats the best between those 2 for the output?
Or what are the advantages and disadvantages?

1K pot is much cheaper than 600T Pad

The altec is not load critical.  Does fine at 10k, 100k, whatever.  The 1k is fine.  The Langevin is load critical, and 1k is probably fine there too.  Just not 10k.

Thanks Doug.

If had one 600r T PAd and a 1K pot which one would you use?
