BC140 is current. Why Siemens?
Do you realize it has no objective ground, unless you want to restore with historic authenticity a vintage piece? then you would have to use period solder...thekid777 said:personal preference

Jeff Steiger is a respected member here, so I hope he will get involved and clarify this “BS”.
Now, a decisive test would be to put side-by-side two identical circuits differing only by the parentage of these transistors, and make objective comparisons.
