Hi,
after having problems with AADE Filter Designer software stability, I finally came across
Microchip's great and completely free (as in freeware) active analog filter designer
'FilterLab'

Very easy usage, Filter selection wizard, automatic circuit/schematic generation upon basic filter parameters w. SPICE data generation(!).
Filters up to 8th order can be done. Graphical display of schematic, frequency / phase plot, zoom- and printable.
Great value for free and no probs with stability under XP.

Just checked that link and found out that the PRG obviously had a major update just recently and is called "VOLTA" now:

EDIT: Volta only runs on Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard)... doh.

Anyone knows a software to use with soundcard for signal sine wave generator, with dBu scale readings?

I am looking for something for calibrating compressors.

Especially with GSSL I would like to do the ratio calibration, for this I need to send a sine wave to the compressor and reading back the return. I can't do it with the normal DAW signal generator, wich obviously works in dbFS, because I want the calibration in the analog domain.

I know that there are hardware machines for such measurements, but I suppose very expensive, so a software solution would be better.

SignalSuite on OS X will do that, and it allows you to calibrate your audio output and store that calibration.
