I have found some 12L lams for sale. This is the discontinued lam used in the Peerless S-217-D output transformer that is used in the Pultec EQP-1A equalizer. The only catch is the guy wants to sell the whole string, which is about 9 or 10 pounds at 30 bucks a pound. I don't need nor want to pay for the whole string, so I am testing the waters to see if anyone else would be interested in buying some.

I have asked around and it appears that the tooling used to stamp these lams out has been lost. So this would be the last of the Mohicans. 50% Ni.

Thanks!

(maybe this should be in the Black Market, but I rarely go there, so more exposure over here)

The S-217-D has the two tertiary windings, but if you are rolling your own coils, these could be eliminated. This transformer is for a push-pull tube circuit.

I don't have the dims. All I know is that is an L shaped lam. I believe the 217-D has a 7/8 inch stack, and I am guessing that there are approx. 500 lams per pound. So 7/8 time 2 (you need 2 lams to make one .014 lap) is 1.75 inches divided by 0.014 equals 125 lams per core, so figure 1 lb will make about 4 transformers.

Hey Chris,

Don't forget, I am actually for TWO pounds of this stuff and don't let Adrianh to take it all from me!!!
