Hi guys, where do you buy your 2G Ohm resistors for microphones? Is there also a source in Germany or Europe? Which products/manufacturers do you favor?🧐

Mouser has relatively cheap 1G resistors, at least (and free shipping for over 50e orders).

Is the 2G value that critical?

Thanks, link doesn't work for my location. I found another seller with G Ohm resistors on aliexpress but with long delievery time (middle of october) so a source in europe would be better.

I know the Mouser offer, I don't know how critical the 2G is. It is for the Miculli SDC circuit.

One very tricky but working solution:
Replace the 1 or 2 or x G resistor with two antiparallel collector-base-diodes of npn transistors like BC549C.
Requirement is that the antipar CB-junctions are embedded in a bootstrap path of the circuit. Othewise THD will rise verty quickly.
Advantage: very high resistance and therefore very low 1/f noise.

So cheap and small enough to put 2 in series to create a 2G part.....
Yep, that's a good source. Thanks a lot!
Digikey looks to have several
Thanks soapfoot!

That's interesting, I have never heard this before. I am still learning. Thanks a lot Ulli!👍

BTW, Banzai got some 1G resistors but way more expensive (6,23€-13,25€ each!). Could be an option for us Berlin people if you need it as fast as possible. (local pickup, no shipping cost)
