200 ohm EQ into 600 ohm input

I have an EQ that needs to be loaded with 200 ohms. In order to run this into a 600 ohm preamp's input, can I simply put a 300 ohm resistor across the EQ output to divide the 600 ohm impedance to 200?

It works in simulation, not sure if it would cause any undesirable effects in reality.

Most mic pres designed to work with a nomi,al 600 ohm source have an input impedance in the range 1500 to 2000 ohms so they do not present a heavy load to the source. If you EQ needs a 200 ohm load then the simplest solution is to load it with about 240 ohms. This in parallel with the pres input impedance should load the EQ with close to 200 ohms.
