The ceter tap of the transformer needs to go to the 0V ONLY. the negative side of the diode bridge needs to go to the -24V leg ONLY, not to the center tap.

so far with a quick glance thats what I saw.

I would use atleast 2200uF for the big electrolytics even 2x2200 for each polarity, You can use a LM317T instead of the 783, just put in a 300ohm in serie with the 12k. I use a 10k to ground after the phantom regulator, sometimes the unloaded voltage jump up to 55v without any load.

Goodluck

The voltage doubler may need some series resistance so you won't wear out the 100 uF 's too soon. 100 ohms maybe. A voltage doubler is a rather heavy application for the caps.

Why not go all the way and built it with LM317/LM337?
you just need some extra resistors! You'll get less noise from your supply with these regulators.
There's a schematics with pcb layout for a universal PSU at my DIY section! www.vintagedesign.se
It also got an additional output for relay and vu powering!
The Tl783 is being discontinued.
I don't think that's exactly true. I made a friend of mine who works at a certain power supply company (I'm in Massachusetts, U.S. - you do the math ) call TI about this. According to TI, the chip is just being "revamped" because there was some kind of problem at higher currents/temperatures... something like that.

Peace,
Al.
