Let's get the disclaimers done first:

Not affiliated in any way, no royerties etc etc, but I got notified that there's this 2nd demo-CD availble now.
It's also available for download but for the small shipping charge they ask this is a no-brainer. I'm always interested to hear about ribbon-mic usage, I've already ordered it.

Get/buy/listen/download it here:

* links come, links go... *

First one recommended as well. It's obviously advertising but not just that.

Bye,

Worth listening to for ear education at the very least
you know , see if what they say matches how you hear it

Dpa has a good one on stereo mic'ing with their products
and the earthworks one is fun too

Sure !  That's also the reason I ordered their first one back then.

The Earthworks is that mini-sized CD, right ? Haven't heard about the one from DPA though,
sounds interesting, I'll have a look if it's still available.

Thanks for the heads-up.  I ordered the CD just because of the possibility of getting a free 122 (I never get anything free, so maybe it will be my time!)

Demo-CD ? Free mic ? Nah, nothing going on here...  ::)

I ordered my CD right away, before getting another e-mail the next day that there was a contest going on.
Had I known that it had been better to keep the amount of CD-buyers low, this thread might not have been ;-)

Let me remove the link in the first post; if you want to join then a bit of effort should be possible  ;)

Bye,

I loaned mine out , so i can't recall if there were more than
Grand piano examples , BUT differences between mic patterns
with omni and Card closer and far were fun ,
you know sometimes you are in a hurry and can't experiment
but for general stereo  [ and capsule types ] mic'ing
it's still worth it , You know what a Cardiod gives , but it's
good to be reminded , not just imagined
