I am designing some PCBs using the 6AQ5 beam pentode.

I was wondering what is the reason for having the grid element wired to two distinct pins (1 and 7)

I can understand why this is done on a regulator tube like 0B2, the anode has two separate connections so if the regulator tube is pulled the unregulated voltage doesn't go through.

But what about this power tube ? Only advantage I can see is more flexibility when designing a PCB, but I was wondering if there is any other advantage and whether it's best to use one pin or the other for the grid connection.
