Id like to fish out thoughts from Bill especially on transformer coupling the input to an ADC of the above type , the top hat effect of the transformer in terms of frequency response is accepted , but could the added CMRR help our S/N ratio and perhaps THD at lower levels ? With the basic sensitivity of the ADC being a few volts at 25khoms no more than a thumbnail sized transformer would be required , if you want a little core saturation for added sparkle, attenuation after the transformer would be easy to arrange . How would step up/down ratio effect our measured performance is another question I have .
