Working on a BX10 for a client.

The opamp driving one of the tanks failed and was putting out DC. The input of one of the spring units is now dead. The resistance measurements in the manual are off on that input.

I haven't opened up the physical spring tank of the unit yet, is it there anything specific to check for inside? Is this repairable or do I need to seek out a replacement unit.

Why not. The answers are In There.

Hope for a broken wire you can see and fix. But if you truly had an opamp short rail to winding then it may be burned-up like a 12V motor on a 120V outlet. Probably quite fine wire, and you will over-pay for just a few yards of the right gauge; and I've never tried to get a reverb coil out and back in again.

Tank model number. Hope it tracks to one of the affordable replacements

Thanks for the input, i'm going to have time to have a look inside in the next day or two.

Seems like the issue will be with the transducer that drives the spring, lets hope its an easy fix like you said!

If it is the coil, (sounds likely) it is very difficult to repair.  BUT... I got a replacement coil for my bx20e from this amazing guy in Berlin.

Installing the new coil back into the end of the spring and getting it positioned in the magnet etc is no easy task.  But his instructions were great and my repaired channel sounds just as good or better as the original channel.
