Alternate capsule for MXL 603 mic?

I don’t really care for the 603 even after vent mods and after years of it sitting, I thought maybe theres a better capsule.

I realize china thread pitch will not be standard, but are there ways to make say the guts of a Neumann or AKG fit in the head of the 603?

3U makes a great capsule that needs a slight mod to work but the threads are the same and has extra venting. Have you tried an Omni capsule?

What mod does it require?

To give it enough length you have to space the nylon end piece away from the board and the XLR mount away from the board. Then I added solder to the pin protruding through the nylon feature and the capsule pin. Then they contact.
