If anyone on list is an Ampex fan or a potential Ampex fan or is interested in building Ampex solid state circuits from Ampex schematics, here's a chart that has cross references those pesky Ampex part numbers to common transistor part numbers. Could come in handy:

We used to have a lot of Ampex video gear in my studio. It's gone now (we recently got rid of several VPR2s and VPR3s), but I held on to the books, including the Ampex transistor and IC cross-references. If anyone needs to cross an Ampex semiconductor that's NOT on the list on Rick's site, let me know.
