I messed about with this Thiele M4 for a while. Eventually, I decided upon using a version I've put together of the Lomo 19A19 circuit which I have posted here. Zener should probably be bypassed, and the transformer is a Lundahl LL1538. The wiring of the transformer pins may be wrong in my drawing (check the Lundahl datasheet). I still need to tidy up the wiring with zip-ties.
The mic sounds nice, and as Dale once guessed by the backplate design, it's quite bright. Fairly M7-ish but more treble (not nasty sibilant treble though). Thanks to Zebra50 for advice and to all others who contributed in earlier threads.
