More consolidation in the IC market. Good or bad? Will we lose some good chips like TI did with National?

They were bought for battery management technology...  this is the natural progression as markets mature and analog ICs are surely "mature".

Softbank recently bought ARM holdings which is the bigger deal IMO (digital technology), and the British pound was cheap because of Brexit (so buy low).
