Just finished my GSSL, probably the most painless [after I realized my sidechain fileter was not making good contact on the connector] Build Yet... I tripple check all my solder joints and values as I stuffed the pcb so right from the start it passed audio with no hums.
I built it using a supply of DBX2150s that I had bought online a year ago, and I used all wima and panasonic caps, most of the hardware I got from work, and I also used the DAOC bypass relay boards with a separate power supply, I modified this schematic:
http://www.hausverwaltung-heger.de/al_leck_trick/Barcleycon_SSC_mod.gif
so that I can use the relay on the SSC board to trigger the hardware bypass when the "In switch" was in the off position. Giving me true bypass.
If I could change one thing, would be the front panel, I messed up alot on the design, and over lacquered it, some dings... but hey its not for looks more than its for sound right!
