Any mods for Yamaha 01V?

Hi,

I have a Yamaha 01V mixer and I'm wondering if there are any mods for it that can reduce hiss on the inputs and outputs?

Are there any other mods for the 01V?

You may search for a system software update. There is one out there and also instructions how to dump it (via to host interface). Check also synchronisation in your digital interface setup. The Yamaha preamps are generally very noisy. Even the breakout stageboxes for the DM Series are way too noisy, (fan, gain stage relay clicking, etc.) almost unusable in a serious recording environment.

might be interesting if anyone here has the schematics for the front-end.

however, my gut feeling tells me that whatever you do, you'll need to be comfortable with Surface Mount Devices... there's a lot of mixer in a small space.
