"PCB Mount 600-600 Ohm Line Isolating Transformer"

from www.rswww.com

designed for isolating non-signal stuff.

Those appear to be telephone transformers... not very good for full-bandwidth audio. If you want some inexpensive but good full-bandwidth audio line transformers, check Edcor. www.edcorusa.com
They have a new PCB-mounted line of transformers, and I recently ordered several samples to test.

might order one next time i put in an RS order for abit of experimenting.

re encore i'm in the UK, so the go balistic with import duty if you try and bring stuff in that looks in any way commercial. pitty cos ther stuff looks really cool.

Please don't support sweat shops that pay people two dollars a day and make them work 12 hours. 8 dollars for a transformer, makes me want to cry.

Are you talking about this?

http://rswww.com/cgi-bin/bv/browse/Module.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0081764259.1099362424@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccceadcmmeeikedcfngcfkmdgkldfim.0&cacheID=ukie&3276815239=3276815239&stockNo=196460

I wouldn´t bother trying it...

CJ, Edcors are made in the USA. I doubt their winders are working twelve-hour days for two dollars  I've talked to them on the phone and they speak English and everything :guinness:
