I got hit up about replacing one of those for a friend and I don't have one in front of me.

The unit works it just won't latch.

Does anyone know what the switch is 4PDT switch or is a dpdt switch or what? I hit up API but they couldn't tell me, that I should just look and then order the right part. Which is fair except if I had the part before the unit comes in, I could have it replaced and out the door without having to have any real wait time.

4PDT if I remember, but what threw me off recently is they used shorter Schadow switches than CKs you can buy now, so you may have to slot the mounting bracket holes if replacing with new switches.

I have replaced a bunch of these in the past, they switch the EQ elements in & out (why they are multi-pole).
The Schadow switches use a tiny formed piece of wire to engage the latching function.
Often the problem you describe is caused by that piece falling out, and possibly the spring tab that retains it loosening.
I have these parts, as well as plenty of original NOS Schadow switches, I am happy to send you what you need gratis.
