:-\Ashdown make **** amps, that is for sure.
My mate gave me his fallen Angel (its Fallen alright!) after a burn out... All the Caps leaked all over the place. I've replaced the whole lot, along with a couple of what appeared to be dodgy resistors.
It is still (alas) making the same **** 'meltdown' type sound, when you switch on from standby. Christ it sounds like the tractor beam in Star Wars.
The semiconductor was the root of the burnout.
Anyone got any ideas what might cause this kind of terminal failure?
Three of the valves are glowing, but two are not. the 5 main (long valves) are glowing as well. Its weird
Suggestions welcome.
